The Western Bulldogs are inviting members and fans to make their mark at Mission Whitten Oval with a donation to the Whitten Stand Seat Plaque Recognition Campaign.
For a tax-deductible donation of $995, a name of your choice will be recognised for five years* via a personalised seat plaque in the newly developed Whitten Stand.
Bulldogs fan and award-winning stand-up comedian Wil Anderson said it was a fantastic opportunity to embed himself into a small part of the Club’s history.
“I remember as a kid standing here hoping I could just have a seat…now (there is) a seat with a plaque that has my name on it,” Anderson said.
“You do feel like, even though you were not a part of what has happened on-field, you have made some contribution.
“Not everybody can, but for those that do have this opportunity to be lucky enough to be genuinely part of it – I think that’s the real appeal of it.
“It’s not about having your name on a plaque or being a member of a particular group…it’s about the contribution I can make that will be valuable to the Club.”
All funds raised from this initiative supports the redevelopment of Mission Whitten Oval.
