The Western Bulldogs are set to recognise their 25 greatest players of the past 100 years at ‘Through & Through: The Centenary Gala’, a special event to be held at Mission Whitten Oval.
The 25 Greatest Bulldogs - who have represented the Club with undeniable distinction on the field and made the most considerable positive impact on its history – have been chosen after deliberations by an expert panel.
Selected players will be immortalised in a custom painting by renowned artist Jamie Cooper as part of the Club’s year-long acknowledgment of a century since it joined the VFL/AFL.
The full list of 25 will be announced in the days leading up to the event, with a top five to be revealed on the night, culminating in the official selection of the greatest Bulldog to have ever worn the red, white and blue.
From an immersive arrival experience which will recreate the players’ arena entry on match days, to a pop-up museum with never-before-seen memorabilia, archival images and footage, this promises to be a once-in-a-generation event that Bulldog fans will not want to miss.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from key Club figures, have a photo taken with the premiership cups and get a signed copy of the Club’s new 100-year anniversary book, Bulldogs: Through & Through, by Darren Arthur and Andrew Gigacz.
The Gala will be held at Western Grounds (Mission Whitten Oval) on Monday 21 July, with tickets on sale now.
