The Bulldogs cruised to a 72-point win over St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Thursday night. 

The victory marked the Dogs' first since Round 10, temporarily moving them back into the top eight in the process. 

Docklands Dominance 

Thursday’s victory over the Saints marked the Bulldogs’ 300th home and away match at Docklands Stadium (Marvel Stadium). This is the second-most appearances at the stadium by any team in the league, with St Kilda sitting first with 312. 

The Bulldogs’ full-time score of 20.12 (132) was the 138th time the Club has scored 100 points or more at Docklands; the most by any Club since the Stadium opened in the year 2000.

Marcus Bontempelli’s legacy at the Kennel continues to grow, with Thursday’s win seeing him equal Ted Whitten’s record for most VFL/AFL wins as the Bulldogs’ captain. 

The Bulldogs have enjoyed a healthy amount of success against the Saints since the Bont was officially named skipper in 2020, winning five of the eight encounters between the two sides. 

Digging Up 

Ever-reliable defender Bailey Dale has now lined up in 109 consecutive AFL matches, the equal-fourth most of any current player league-wide. 

Fellow Bailey Bulldog, Bailey Williams, sits second for most consecutive appearances for the Bulldogs (79 consecutive matches), with Lachy Bramble in third (36) who has yet to miss a match since joining the Kennel last season.
