Marcus Bontempelli has stormed back onto the AFLCA leaderboard after he was awarded a perfect ten votes from the coaches for his performance in the Western Bulldogs’ 14-point win over Brisbane on the weekend.

Spending time as a key forward and in the middle of the ground, the 21-year-old was a constant threat and was the difference between the two sides when it mattered.

Jack Macrae’s game-high 32 disposals, 11 marks, six clearances and eight insides 50s earned him seven votes, Toby McLean continued his good run of form with five and Lachie Hunter registered one.

Every round, the AFL coaches vote for the best players from their game. The coaches vote for five players, giving them a mark from 1-5. The maximum a player can score is 10 (with five votes from both coaches).
