Four weeks after joining the Western Bulldogs, Caleb Poulter will cap off a remarkable month by making his debut in the red, white and blue against Fremantle this weekend.

While already playing 11 games for the Pies, the 20-year-old makes his club debut after being selected at Pick 10 in the 2023 AFL Mid-Season Draft in late May.

Some solid form across half-back and wing has given senior coach Luke Beveridge enough confidence to thrust Poulter into the Marvel Stadium limelight against the Dockers.

After being delisted by Collingwood in 2022, Poulter’s ability to play multiple positions and maintain strong endurance were key aspects to his acquisition.

“I’m pumped,” Poulter told westernbulldogs.com.au.

“Bevo gave me a call yesterday and I missed it initially, thought this could be really good or really bad.”

“It’s been a pretty hectic 3-4 weeks, but the boys have welcomed me in with open arms. I am really looking forward to it.”

“As soon as anyone gets to the club they want to improve and earn the respect of teammates and coaches.”

“I want to come in and make an impact.”

Poulter will wear guernsey number 25.
