The Western Bulldogs were defeated by 21 points by Williamstown at DSV Stadium on Saturday morning, in a match defined by its fiercely competitive nature.

It was a balanced contest across the opening half, with the Dogs in front by one point at quarter-time and five at half-time – meaning it was either side’s game going into the third.

However, a three-goal to nothing third term set the Seagulls up with momentum, who then continued to surge ahead in the final quarter, capitalising on their inside-50 opportunities to secure the win.

Emily Ramsay’s first goal in the red, white and blue marked a memorable moment for the team, while Sarah Skinner showcased her skill with 16 disposals.

Captain Dom Carbone was strong with 18 disposals, five tackles and three clearances, while senior Bulldog Dom Carruthers (16 disposals, eight tackles, four clearances) got through unscathed.
