Western Bulldogs’ Captain Matthew Boyd will not travel to Darwin to take on Port Adelaide on Saturday night, after suffering a minor calf strain this week.

Set to miss just one game, Boyd is expected to be available to return after the bye weekend in round eleven.

Boyd received a minor set-back earlier this season with a calf strain which saw him miss the opening three rounds, but his current injury is said to be less severe and in the opposite leg.

The Bulldogs are also expected to regain the services of veteran Adam Cooney after the bye, after the midfielder endured a hamstring bleed last fortnight.
