The Footscray Bulldogs have named a strong extended squad ahead of their round three clash against the Northern Blues on Sunday at Victoria University Whitten Oval.

13 AFL-listed players will take to the field in search of Footscray’s second win for the season, alongside an experienced cohort of VFL talent.

Ayce Cordy and Tory Dickson will again combine up front, while Footscray’s defence features AFL experience in the form of Fletcher Roberts, Mark Austin, Jason Johannisen and Sam Darley.

Ex-Carlton and Collingwood listed player Jordan Russell has also been named in Footscray’s back six.

Up to five VFL-listed players could also make their debut in Bulldogs colours with Will Sullivan, David Iaccarino, Anthony Barry, Jordan Clarke and Tom Gleeson all named on an extended bench.

Brett Goodes will miss this round's VFL fixture through a one week suspension, however will be available for selection next week.
