The Footscray Bulldogs will be looking to return to the winner’s list Friday night, when they play away in an ANZAC Day clash against the Bendigo Gold under lights at Queen Elizabeth Oval.

With 18 Western Bullldogs players named in the squad to head up the highway, Footscray are well placed to notch their second win of the season against the winless Gold.

Footscray’s only Friday night game of 2014 will be highlighted by the occasion of ANZAC Day, with the side looking to replicate the four quarter effort that delivered them a round one victory over Richmond.

The side will lose some fire power up forward with leading goal kicker Tory Dickson rewarded with an AFL promotion.

Mitch Wallis will also play his first game for Footscray, as he returns to VFL level after commencing 2014 in the AFL side.
The return of Tom Williams from the AFL ranks will also add some experience and versatility to a key position post at either end of the ground.
