Shaun Higgins and Sam Darley have been named in the final team to add some defensive options, while Tom Campbell has also earned a recall to bolster the forward line against Hawthorn on Sunday.

The trio have earned a call up after a number of compelling VFL performances, replacing Mitch Wallis (foot), Easton Wood (omit) and Jack Redpath (omit) from the side that lost to Essendon.

Higgins returns after two weeks in the VFL to provide more run and carry out of the back half against an experienced Hawthorn forward line.

Ranked second in both average uncontested possessions and rebound 50s at the Club, the 26-year-old has had a solid season, and will look to continue that on Sunday.

Averaging 3.3 rebound 50s throughout his senior career, Darley will provide run out of the backline and has impressed at senior level in his two appearances for the Bulldogs this season.

Yet to lose in Bulldogs colours in the AFL, the 21-year-old GWS recruit has forced his way back into the side after being omitted after round 17 due to the return of Ryan Griffen and Adam Cooney.

Tom Campbell has been a dominant performer in the VFL all season, playing a rotating role between the ruck and forward line.
