Matthew Boyd is set to become a one-club player, after agreeing to terms to stay at Whitten Oval until the end of 2015.

The 32-year-old has enjoyed another impressive season, averaging over 26 possessions in 19 outings this year, including ten games where he collected 28 disposals or more.

List Manager Jason McCartney said while Boyd had delivered consistent form throughout the season, his value also extended to other areas of the Club.

“Matthew is a highly-respected member of this football club, and we believe he still has a lot to offer,” McCartney said.

“Anyone that knows Matthew, understands just how professional he is, which we see as an important attribute, particularly for our young group to learn from.”

“His teammates and coaches value his contribution, especially in recent times where he has shouldered a lot of responsibility - and we looking forward to seeing him continue his strong form next season.”

The three-time Charles Sutton medallist and dual All-Australian has played 239 games since arriving at the Club in 2001.
