Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bulldogs each week exclusive to westernbulldogs.com.au.

LAST WEEK

In the final game of the Anzac Round, the Dogs enjoyed a day out at Etihad Stadium thumping the Crows by 57 points.

Liam Picken (DEF, $408,000) was the biggest ball-winner for the Bulldogs with 29 disposals and 120 Fantasy points.

Racking up 119 points, it was Luke Dahlhaus (FWD, $542,000) who had Fantasy tongues wagging this weekend. Dahlhaus and Hawthorn’s Jordan Lewis are the only two players to have scored a ton in all four games this season. He may add midfield status after next weekend to reflect his MID/FWD role he plays within the team.

It was a shame that Jake Stringer (FWD, $357,000) was subbed off in the third quarter. The forward had kicked six goals and was leading all scorers with 105 points when he donned the red vest.

TOP 5 SCORERS V ADELAIDE

  1. 1.       120 – Liam Picken (DEF, $408,000)
  2. 2.       119 – Luke Dahlhaus (FWD, $542,000)
  3. 3.       118 – Jack Macrae (MID, $557,000)
  4. 4.       113 – Matthew Boyd (MID, $566,000)
  5. 5.       105 – Jake Stringer (FWD, $357,000)

ON THE RADAR

This will be the last week we can get Matthew Boyd (MID, $566,000) purely as a midfielder. He is a certainty to gain DEF status prior to round six in the first lot of dual position additions. As a defender, he will be second behind Luke Hodge as the best available this year.

Coaches are keen to get in Marcus Bontempelli (FWD/MID, $472,000). His ownership is now over 48% and is set to break through the $500K figure soon as his breakeven remains low at 49.

Fantasy coaches will join in the chorus of saying no the substitute vest. Mitch Honeychurch (FWD, $265,000) was handed the green attire and scored just 24 points in his limited game time. While he has increased $86K in value, this will certainly slow down with his breakeven rising to 43.

WHAT’S COMING UP

The Bulldogs take on the Swans at the SCG on Saturday afternoon. Last time they met, Liam Picken was the top scorer with 119 while Jack Macrae (MID, $557,000) and Nathan Hrovat (FWD, $381,000) both had 30 touches plus 116 and 111 Fantasy points respectively.

Fantasy Coach projects Boyd to top score this weekend with 107.
