Liam Picken now sits outright second on the Western Bulldogs leader board in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award.

Picken collected two votes on the weekend, taking him to second place on 16 votes behind captain Bob Murphy (18) and two ahead of Jake Stringer (14).

Picken was one of the Dogs’ most consistent four quarter performers on the weekend, collecting 28 disposals, four marks, four tackles and two goals.

Easton Wood earned the most votes for the Bulldogs, collecting four votes after amassing ten marks for the match in a solid defensive effort.

St Kilda’s David Armitage picked up the perfect ten, with five votes from each coach, after a 45-disposal game that takes him to second place on the overall leaderboard.

Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe still leads the award after six rounds, polling 50 of a possible 60 votes.
