Western Bulldogs defender Shane Biggs will play his first game for the Club after being confirmed as the sole inclusion in the Bulldogs’ side that will take on Melbourne on Sunday afternoon.

Biggs, who has been in Footscray’s best the last two weeks in the VFL, gets his chance after being traded to the Bulldogs from Sydney at the end of 2015.

OPPOSITION ANALYSIS: An in-depth look at Melbourne ahead of our round eight match.

Bulldogs Head of Development Chris Maple said Biggs’ rebounding work had helped him to earn his spot.

“Shane had another solid performance on the weekend, his rebounding off half back has been impressive as has his ball use.

“He creates a lot of opportunities for our forwards with his rebound.”

Biggs replaces Mitch Honeychurch who comes out of the side with general soreness.

Nathan Hrovat, Jarrad Grant and Jack Macrae have been named as emergencies.
