Season in short:

One of the pre-season standouts, Hrovat’s start to the season was unfortunately interrupted with a lung injury.

The forward managed to fight his way into the team in rounds three to six, and back in rounds nine to 12, totalling seven games for the year.

His talent undeniable, Hrovat was one of several unlucky players at VFL level to just miss out on senior selection despite solid form in the latter stages of the year.

The 21-year-old finished second in the VFL best and fairest, representative of his on-field performance in 2015.

Stat that mattered:

Hrovat averaged 14 disposals and three tackles in the senior side this season, highlighting his ability to create pressure from the forward line.

What they said:

“Although I probably didn’t play as much footy as I would have liked, seeing the senior team do so well was a really positive aspect. I’m happy to get a game wherever I can at the moment.” – Nathan Hrovat, September 2015

“It was obviously a frustrating year for Nathan (with injuries)… But he’s obviously a huge talent and hopefully he can get a clean run at it… He’ll learn a lot from the year about himself and where he fits in. We know he’s got the tools it’s just about putting them together.” – Daniel Giansiracusa (Western Bulldogs Assistant Coach), September 2015
