The Western Bulldogs have confirmed that midfielder Lin Jong will join Koby Stevens and first-year defender Kieran Collins as inclusions to the side to face Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium on Sunday.

Jong returns to the side after displaying strong form at VFL level, including a 29-disposal, best-on-ground performance in Footscray’s 19-point win over Port Melbourne at North Port Oval last weekend.

Assistant coach Joel Corey told westernbulldogs.com.au that he’s witnessed a growing maturity in Jong’s game this season.

“He’s had two weeks in the VFL and he’s been fantastic both games, so he’s shown a level of maturity going out of the side, which [can be] very disappointing.

“[But then] to actually play the way that he did, lead the way that he did, it’s encouraging for the Football Club.”

18-year-old Bailey Williams holds his spot after playing his first game for the Club last week, while Toby McLean, Caleb Daniel and Jong round out the interchange.

Koby Stevens will play his first game since round six clash after recovering from an abdominal strain, and first-year key defender Kieran Collins will be the fourth player to debut for the Dogs in 2016, following Josh Dunkley, Marcus Adams and Williams.

Mitch Honeychurch, Will Minson and Bailey Dale make up the emergencies.
