Even wondered what Jake Stringer thinks of being called ‘The Package’?
Speaking with Wayne Carey and Mark Howard on Triple M’s Hot Breakfast on Thursday morning, Stringer was asked whether the nickname sat comfortably with him.

“I suppose at the start it [didn’t] but because it’s been there for two years you start to get a little bit used to it, he said.

“But all of the supporters love it so it doesn’t really affect or worry me.”

The Dogs, of course, have a more pressing issue before them as they travel to Sydney today ahead of their clash with the Swans on Saturday afternoon..

John Longmire's men are coming off a convincing win over the Demons, while the Bulldogs have spent two weeks licking their wounds after going down to Geelong by 57-ponts before the bye.

It’s will be only the second time that the 21-year-old Stringer has played on the famous old ground, although with the Swans currently sitting in second place, last year’s result matters little.

“It was a really good win by the boys but we’re going to have our work cut out for us this week, Sydney are absolutely flying at the minute.

“It’s going to be a fierce contest up there which we’re looking forward to getting into.”

It’s not often these Bulldogs come up against a side above them on the contested possession ladder, but that’s exactly what they’ll be up against this weekend.
Sydney’s 165.6 per contest has them ranked number one in the AFL, two spots and thirteen possesions ahead of the Bulldogs in third spot.

Stringer said that Dogs will need to back themselves into the contest and are up for the challenge.

“It's going to be the vital to us getting the win is if we do crack in hard and low and get first use on the ball and make sure we’re getting the ball forward our way.

“The amount of great players they’ve got going through there, we’re going to have our work cut out for us, that’s for sure.”
