A career-high 34-disposal performance has earned Koby Stevens top votes from the coaches in the Western Bulldogs’ eight-goal win over the Gold Coast Suns on Saturday night.
Stevens was everywhere in the opening quarter, kicking two important goals to break the game open, along with 10 disposals and two clearances.
While finishing the match as the leading ball-winner on the ground, he also topped the clearance count (8) and had five inside 50m to his credit.
Fellow Gippsland Power product Clay Smith also caught the coaches eye, for his dynamic three goal and 17 disposal performance up forward.
Smith could have finished the match with a larger swag of goals, hitting the post on three occasions.
Eight Bulldogs in total polled votes from Senior Coaches Luke Beveridge and Rodney Eade.
Collecting four votes, Marcus Bontempelli’s holds his sixth place on the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year Award leaderboard.
Gold Coast Suns key forward Tom Lynch was the only Sun to poll votes from the match.
