There'll be some new faces and some more familiar faces running for Footscray's season-opening clash with Box Hill on Friday morning at Victoria University Whitten Oval.

The Bulldogs will not be light on for experience, with captain Jordan Russell leading a side with 16 AFL-listed players named ahead of the Good Friday clash.

And in a glimpse of the future 2016 draftees Tim English, Nathan Mullenger-Mchugh, Pat Lipinski, Fergus Greene and Lewis Young will play their first game for points in Bulldogs colours. 

Footscray will unfurl their 2016 premiership at 11:40am.
