Jackson Trengove is expected to miss the next two to three weeks with a cracked shoulder blade, Western Bulldogs Medical Services Manager Chris Bell confirmed today.

The injury occurred in a marking contest late in the first quarter of the weekend’s match with West Coast.

“Jackson Trengove was involved in a contest where he got a knee directly into his back,” Bell told westernbulldogs.com.au on Tuesday.

“This contact resulted in a small crack in his shoulder blade.  He got through the game, which was great, but it’s going to need a couple of weeks to heal properly.”

The Club will assess ruckman Jordan Roughead during the week after a knock to the head in the third term saw him take no further part in the match.

“We removed him from the field of play (after the incident) and assessed him. He developed some concussion symptoms and couldn’t take any further part in the game,” Bell said.

“We’re going to work with Jordan this week and work through our concussion protocol to determine his availability later in the week.”

And young key forward Josh Schache will be monitored as he recovers from a calf injury.

“Josh reported some calf tightness after a training session last week,” Bell said.

“Scans confirmed that he does have a low grade calf injury.  I expect him to miss this week but we’ll work with Josh next week to hopefully bring him back in line to availability.”
