It’s been a good August for the Bulldogs, the club has strung together three straight wins, and the midfield especially has been jumping off the stats sheet.

Back in Round 21, for the first time in VFL/AFL history that three players on the one team had 40 or more disposals in the one game, when Lachie Hunter, Jack Macrae and Caleb Daniel established the 40/40/40 Club.

But the big numbers haven’t stopped there.  Over the past three weeks the Dogs have six players that have averaged 30 or more disposals.

Jack Macrae (36.6), Lachie Hunter (36.6), Josh Dunkley (31.6), Marcus Bontempelli (31.3), Caleb Daniel (30.6) and Jason Johannisen (30.0) have all been racking them up in a major way brightening the days of Dream Teamers everywhere.

Both Macrae and Hunter have had 30+ in five of his last six, Josh Dunkley has set a new career-high five times this season alone and Bontempelli twice, in Round 21 and then again in Round 22.

Macrae is third in the AFL for disposals per game (32.2) and Lachie Hunter is 10th (29.6).

The Dogs take on Richmond on Saturday afternoon at the MCG in the final round of the season.
