Hard-edged Bulldogs midfielder Tom Liberatore has been named in the AFL Players Association’s 22Under22 side at the AFLPA MVP Awards at Docklands Tuesday night.

The number one clearance player in the game in 2013, Liberatore was the only Western Bulldogs player named in the side that was compiled by popular vote.

Football fans were asked to help select a team showcasing the competition’s 22 best players under the age of 22 by voting via social media. To be eligible, players had to be aged 22 or under for the entire AFL season.

The Gold Coast Suns had the highest representation in the side with five players named, while Essendon’s Dyson Heppell and North Melbourne’s Jack Ziebell were named captain and vice-captain of the side respectively.
