A strong performance for Footscray last weekend has earned Toby McLean a recall to the Western Bulldogs' senior side for this Saturday night's round three clash with Fremantle in Perth.

McLean played in the Bulldogs' season opener against Collingwood, in which he had 13 touches and laid seven tackles, but missed last Friday's game against Sydney at Etihad Stadium. He kicked one goal in last Saturday's VFL practice match against Essendon, and was named as the Bulldogs' best player.

McLean replaces Stewart Crameri who'll miss due to a hip complaint.

Luke Beveridge, speaking to reporters on Tuesday, said he is wary of the 0-2 Dockers, and expects a feirce contest at Domain Stadium on Saturday night.

"We expect them to come out like the did against us last year [in round 23]," Beveridge said.

"When you look at their team on paper they look like a very strong side that’s capable of toppling nearly anyone, so that’s they way we’ll treat they game, treat them and prepare for our performance."
