The AFL will today announce the 2015 NAB AFL Rising Star at a ceremony at Crown Palladium in Melbourne, with the winner presented the Ron Evans medal.

The Western Bulldogs have two players nominated for the award, Mitch Honeychurch and Tom Boyd, after their respective nominations in rounds two and 12.

The Bulldogs will have had seven rising star nominees in the past three years – Honeychurch, Boyd (2015), Nathan Hrovat, Jake Stringer, Marcus Bontempelli (2014), Jack Macrae and Michael Talia (2013).

The event will be broadcast national on Fox Footy at 9:30pm on Wednesday 9 September.
