Western Bulldogs midfielder Caleb Daniel will miss four to six weeks after injuring his knee at training last week.

Daniel is scheduled to have minor surgery today to repair the meniscus in his left knee and is expected to resume training within a fortnight.

Meanwhile, star midfielder Tom Liberatore has returned to the Club, commencing rehabilitation to his injured knee.

Liberatore came out of a splint earlier today and has begun his strength program, four weeks after having an ACL reconstruction.

Clay Smith’s return to competitive football is nearing, with the tough midfielder joining in full contact training, after nine months on the sidelines, also with a knee injury. 

Smith has impressed on the track  recently and is expected to line up in his first competitive match in the next fortnight.
