Book Signing - Neil Sachse's 'Playing On'

Neil Sachse will be at Victoria University Whitten Oval this Saturday from 11:00am on match day, signing his new book ’Playing On.’

Sachse was one of the best young footballers in the country in the 1970s, blazing a trail playing for the Roosters in the SANFL, winning a premiership for North Adelaide and helping them defeat Carlton to be crowned ‘Champions of Australia’. But at 24, with two sons under the age of three, and in only his second VFL match for Footscray, Neil Sachse’s life changed forever.

It was 1975, and in a split second, a head-on collision on the field left Neil a quadriplegic.

'Playing On' is an inspiring story of great courage and resilience, and the most catastrophic injury Australian Rules football has ever experienced.

Copies of Sachse’s book will be available for purchase in the Bulldogs Shop at Victoria University Whitten Oval.
