Forward Liam Jones has accepted a two-week sanction from the Match Reivew Panel for rough conduct on Melbourne’s Dean Terlich.

Jones will subsequently miss the Bulldogs’ upcoming matches against Gold Coast and Fremantle.

The match review panel charged Jones with a Level Three Engaging in Rough Conduct Offence for the incident that occurred with Terlich during the third quarter of the Saturday night’s round eight match at the MCG.

Carrying a penalty of 325 demerit points (a three week suspension) , accepting an early plea had the penalty reduced by 25 percent to 243.75 demerit points and a two week sanction.

Jones had no existing good or bad record to further influence the sanction handed down.

The incident was assessed by the Match Review Panel as negligent conduct (one point), high impact (three points) and high contact (two points).
