Veteran Daniel Giansiracusa has accepted his two week ban handed down from the AFL Tribunal after Saturday’s clash against Port Adelaide.

The Bulldogs forward was reported for an the incident involving Port’s Jared Polec that was assessed as reckless, low impact and high contact.

The charge resulted in 295.31 demerit points when including Giansiracusa’s previous record carried over.

Despite an early plea which reduced the sanction by 25 per cent to 221.48 points, Giansiracusa will still spend two weeks on the sidelines.

Giansiracusa will be deemed available to play again in round 17 when the Bulldogs face the Gold Coast Suns in Cairns.
