A two-month sideline stint for forward Tory Dickson will end this Sunday, named for the Footscray Bulldogs in Sunday’s VFL match against Essendon at Victoria university Whitten Oval.

The 26-year-old kicked  11 goals in three VFL appearances earlier in the season, before earning an AFL call-up and injuring himself in the round eight AFL win against Melbourne.

Veteran forward Daniel Giansiracusa will also be a boost to Footscray in their attacking half, set to line-up in his second VFL match of the season after joining the senior side as a travelling emergency last weekend in Cairns.

Footscray-listed young gun Will Hayes could be joined by his twin brother JD, with the latter on the verge of a VFL debut after being named in an extended squad.

The third placed Footscray will face-off for the four points against  the tenth placed Bombers side, with both teams coming off respective losses to Box Hill and Port Melbourne.

Clay Smith and Brett Goodes will again provide midfield grunt for the Dogs, while Shaun Higgins will again line-up for Footscray providing added experience to the VFL side.

The final Footscray side will be reduced to 23 men after the AFL side is confirmed at 5:00pm on Friday.
