North Melbourne could face a selection headache as they prepare to face the Western Bulldogs on Sunday with six players facing fitness tests, including star midfielder Daniel Wells.

While Wells made his football return through the VFL last week, a knock to the shin may prevent him from taking to the field this weekend.

North Melbourne regulars Lachie Hansen and Levi Greenwood will also require fitness tests, after being late withdrawals against GWS.

The duo did not line up for the Kangaroos after being selected due to hip and leg soreness respectively.

Kieran Harper, Jamie Macmillan, Tim McGenniss are also listed as a test to return to football this weekend but are anticipated to do so through their VFL affiliate.

A selection of senior players also put their hand up for selection while playing for the affiliated North Ballarat and Werribee sides, who will also apply pressure on the starting 22 to perform.
