The coaches were unanimous in awarding Ryan Griffen with maximum votes in the Western Bulldogs defeat over Carlton.

The Bulldogs’ midfielder powered into the top five on the AFLCA leader board, producing another 30+ disposal game – his 11th for the year.

The 27-year-old’s ball winning ability was complemented by his seven clearances, seven tackles and eight inside 50s adding another prolific game to his many this season.

Adam Cooney and Jarrad Grant tied in second place in the Bulldogs 28 point victory, polling seven votes apiece.

The 2008 Brownlow Medallist’s performance sees him continue his rich vein of form over the past month, collecting 31 disposals, as well as being a driving force for the Bulldogs.

Jarrad Grant continues to build momentum in the forward line, with a game high four goals and two goal assists against the Blues in his fifth senior game for the year. 

Fellow forward Luke Dahlhaus also put on a trademark display in the win, laying a career high 11 tackles, as well as collecting 24 possessions and two goals, receiving two votes for his efforts.

Robert Murphy turned the coaches heads with a 27 possession performance (23 effective), sweeping the ball from defence with four rebound 50s.

Will Minson and Liam Picken came into contention in the best players lists, after putting in strong performances to help get the Bulldogs over the line – both awarded with one vote each.
