The Western Bulldogs will confront the toughest challenge in footy on Friday night when they face Hawthorn in the Second Semi Final at the MCG, but fresh off a stunning week one victory over the Eagles in Perth, they’re ready for the challenge.

With the prize a Preliminary Final berth against Greater Western Sydney on Saturday week, Marcus Bontempelli told Channel Seven on Sunday that the Bulldogs have got faith they can take it up to Alistair Clarkson’s men.

“We know we’re coming up against a really hardened team who’ve done incredible things over the last couple of years but we do believe in ourselves and believe in the group, and we’ll be putting our best foot forward,” he said.

Bontemeplli was at North Port Oval on Sunday to watch the Club’s VFL side win through to a Preliminary Final next weekend, and said the side took a lot of confidence from their 47-point win over West Coast.

“It was tough to go over there and play a team that was in really good form but I’m really proud of how we made the most of it.”
