Defender Easton Wood will return to the Western Bulldogs senior line-up against St Kilda on Sunday, replacing the injured Jason Johannisen.

Following the announcement of final teams on Friday afternoon, the Bulldogs have confirmed just the one change to their line-up that faced Hawthorn last Sunday.

Wood comes back into the AFL ranks after being named in Footscray's best in their 131-point VFL demolition of Bendigo last week, playing off half-back.

After playing every game of the season until last week's Launceston road-trip , the 24-year-old was relegated to the VFL side for one week after a breakout start to 2014.

“Obviously we’ve got to look at Easton Wood coming back into the team, he’s played some good reasonable footy in the twos after being dropped,” Assistant Coach Rohan Smith said.

A calf complaint will keep Johannisen from lining-up in his ninth game of the season.

The Bulldogs were victors against St Kilda in their last home and away meeting, claiming a narrow nine-point win at Etihad Stadium in round nine of the 2013 season.

On that occasion, Koby Stevens was named best on ground for the Bulldogs, kicking three goals and amassing 31 disposals.

Prior to the Dogs’ victory last year, St Kilda had won the past eight meetings between the two sides.

During the NAB Challenge earlier in the year, the Bulldogs claimed 0.10.7 (67) to 1.7.5 (56) win over the Saints at a rain-soaked Simonds Stadium.
