In an industry of change, Dale Morris has remained a constant for the Bulldogs.

On the eve of his 250th match, Morris said one of the silver linings of the 2018 season was the growth of a talented young list, that have seen opportunity through adversity.

The Dogs have blooded five players (AFL debut) this season, with defenders Ed Richards (18 games) and Aaron Naughton (15 games) two players benefiting from Morris’ experience and knowledge.

“(One of) the good things about (injuries) is that we’ve seen a glimpse into the future with young guys standing up and playing some games and really filling holes the injured players have left,” said Morris.

“It shows that the future is quite bright at the footy club with those guys stepping up.”

35-year-old Morris, who has earned a reputation for his toughness and resilience, hasn't ruled out playing beyond next season.

“I'm never one to put a cap on my career, I'll keep going as long as I can, as long as there is a role for me to play, he said.

“It's too good not to. It's the best job.”

The Bulldogs will play North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium at 1.10pm on Sunday.
