The Western Bulldogs Leadership Project, formally The Whitten Project is set to return in 2017, with nominations having opened on Friday 3rd of February.

Entering its fifth year, the youth leadership initiative has seen over 250 young people successfully complete the program over the past four years.

The program invites year nine and ten students from Western Victoria to participate in the six-month leadership program, aimed at connecting and growing the students’ leadership skills.

This year the Club welcomes Ararat Rural City Council, Southern Grampians, Northern Grampians and Golden Plains students to participate for the first time, alongside existing municipalities – Ballarat, Brimbank, Glenelg, Hobsons Bay, Maribyrnong, Melton and Moonee Valley.

The program involves a series of unique workshops delivered by respected industry leaders and role models.

The workshops are fun, interactive, challenging and cover topics including leadership, communication, support networks, goal setting, resilience and civic engagement.
