The Western Bulldogs have drafted Kristie-Lee Weston-Turner with the coveted Pick 1 in the 2023 AFLW Draft.

Weston-Turner is an athletic forward-midfielder from the Western Jets with explosive speed and impressive aerial abilities.

The 18-year-old played limited footy this year after breaking her wrist, but managed to return late in the season for Vic Metro to remind scouts of her potential.

From that one game she finished with 17 disposals, three marks and 1.4 on the scoreboard.

At 178cm tall, Weston-Turner’s natural X-factor and evident upside will excite Dogs members and fans in 2024 and beyond.

Here’s what AFL talent ambassador Kevin Sheehan had to say about Weston-Turner:

Athletically talented forward and midfielder with blistering pace and an exciting natural leap. Returned from wrist and leg injuries to star in her one match for Victoria Metro at this year's National Championships, accumulating 17 disposals and kicking 1.4 against Victoria Country in a performance that reminded scouts of her potential. Confirmed her athletic ability at the Draft Combine with top 10 finishes in the running vertical leap (70cm) and 20m sprint (3.21 seconds).
