Western Bulldogs Chief Executive Simon Garlick has tipped the Club will have a new Senior Coach in time for the arrival of the senior players back to training in just under a fortnight.

Despite high speculation and interest in the appointment, Garlick indicated that the Club wouldn’t waver from their selection process to fast track an appointment.

The interview process of candidates is underway.

“We’re really excited about what the prospects are providing to us [through the interview process],” Garlick told Crocmedia’s Sports Day program on Thursday night.

“ We want [the process] to happen as quick as we can, but we’re not going to rush it, it’s a massive decision for us”

“Our senior guys get back on November 17, and we’d like to think we’d have a coach in place by then.”

Garlick said that out of respect for the coaching candidates, the interview shortlist would not be revealed.

The Club’s five person coach selection panel comprises Bulldogs Football Director and former Club Captain, Chris Grant, (Chair), Chief Executive Simon Garlick, General Manager of Football, Graham Lowe, former Club captain Luke Darcy, and West Coast Eagles premiership captain and coach John Worsfold.
