The Western Bulldogs are set to regain experienced trio Ryan Griffen, Robert Murphy and Daniel Giansiracusa against North Melbourne this Saturday, while Tom Williams is also an outside chance to make his football return.

Medical Services Manger Andrew McKenzie said the four seasoned players were expected to take part in full training this week and should be deemed available for the round seven clash.

“[They] have all come through really well, they will train this week and we expect them to get through the full week and they should be available to play,” McKenzie said.

Griffen and Giansiracusa have spent the past two games restricted to the sidelines with an SC joint and scapula injury respectively.

A calf complaint has also interrupted Murphy’s start to the season, while Williams endured an adductor injury in the VFL in late April.

Nick Lower will also be available for selection this week, after enduring an eye injury during play in Sunday’s match against West Coast – while Jake Stringer is also expected to be available after suffering a corked thigh.

“[Lower] had a scratch on the eye and it was checked out my doctors and they cleared him to play,” he said.

“He pulled up well and he will be ok this week and available to play.

“Jake was quite sore at the time but he settled down well [after] being subbed as a precaution.

“He’s come in really well this week and he will be available to play with a full week of training.”

Jarrad Grant and Ayce Cordy were withdrawn from last weekend’s VFL game with soreness, but both forwards are expected to return for the next Williamstown fixture in a fortnight’s time.
