The Western Bulldogs have made one change to their squad ahead of Saturday’s JLT Community Series clash with Collingwood, with Billy Gowers set to replace defender Shane Biggs who’ll miss with a back spasm.

The 26-year-old Biggs will be assessed with the view to resume full training in the coming days.

The Dogs this week will be led by defensive coach Steven King, who said he’s excited to take the reins for the first time.

“It’s a great opportunity, it’s an exciting one in which all assistant coaches aspire to have a look at,” King said on Friday.

“It’s a great experience for me to get out of  my comfort zone, to sit there and get a look at the footy department in its entirety, especially on game day, and being the one that makes those decisions rather than look at one area.

“It’s going to be good fun.”
