Taylor Duryea is officially a Bulldog after a trade for the former Hawthorn defender was finalised on Tuesday.

The Dogs secured the 27-year-old by trading its future fourth-round NAB AFL Draft selection to the Hawks.

A two-time premiership player (2014 and 2015), Duryea played 118 games over nine seasons, arriving at the Hawks with pick 69 in the 2009 National Draft.

He played 17 games in 2018, and although primarily stationed in the backline, he has an ability to play at either end of the ground.

“We’re excited that Taylor has decided to continue his playing career with the Bulldogs,” said Bulldogs’ General Manger of List and Recruiting, Sam Power.

“As a two-time premiership player, Taylor will bring with him valuable experience. His versatility to play at either end of the ground, as well as his speed and accuracy by foot, are just some of his strengths.

“We can’t wait to see what he can offer our playing group.”
