Mission Whitten Oval is the centrepiece of Melbourne’s inner west - a home for the four Western Bulldogs teams and club administration, and a gathering place for the community. 

From the main entrance on Whitten Avenue, you can access Alfa cafe, the Bulldogs Shop and Museum from 8am to 4pm weekdays. Our 400-person space, Western Grounds, is located on Level 2 of the EJ Whitten Stand, and community programs and events occur regularly in the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation rooms on Level 1 and our Women's Health and Leadership Hub on Level 3 - both of which are available for hire. 

The wider community can access multiple health and wellbeing options at the Club, including women's Pilates, strength training and recovery suites at Bump Health on Level 1 (entry via Door 2) the Victoria University Student Massage Clinic on Level 2, and a variety of indoor sports competitions at the Victoria University Community Sports Stadium.

The gates to grounds (Spurling Reserve) are open to the public from 7am to 6pm daily, increased to 8pm during daylight savings. Access is restricted during events including Match Days (AFLW, VFL, VFLW).

Limited 4-hour and accessible parking is available on site, with bus stops in front of the oval on Barkly Street, and West Footscray Station located just behind on Cross Street.

Mission Whitten Oval is a short walk from West Footscray station - on the Sunbury/Watergardens line.

Tram
By tram from the city, catch the #57 West Maribyrnong service. The #57 links at Maribyrnong Road with the #82, which passes within a block of the ground.
