Western Bulldogs ruckman Jordan Roughead has departed the Club in a trade with Collingwood, in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft.

The Bulldogs received selection 75 from the Magpies in exchange for the 27-year-old, who leaves the Club as a premiership player with 138 games to his name.

Roughead recently indicated to the Club that he would like to explore his options as a restricted free agent, after managing 12 games in 2018.

“Jordan had expressed a wish to continue his career at another club, and we understand he wanted to have a fresh start,” said Bulldogs’ General Manager of List and Recruiting, Sam Power.

“Despite losing Jordan, we have been able to further strengthen our position in the National Draft, which has been a key objective for the Club during the free agency and trade periods.

“Jordan has provided outstanding service for the Western Bulldogs over an extended period of time, and was a key member of the 2016 premiership team, which will not be forgotten by those inside and outside of the Club.

“We wish him well for the remainder of his AFL career.”
