The 2017 Sons of the West Premiership Season came to a close at last week’s graduation ceremonies.

Reaching over 750 graduates at eight separate events throughout the western region of Victoria, The Premiership Season graduation’s brought together Sons of the West participants and past Western Bulldogs players.

Sons of the West graduates were met by Bulldogs legends Tony Liberatore, Doug Hawkins and Matthew Croft as they accepted their 2017 graduation jumpers.

Speaking at the Wyndham, Melton, Maribyrnong and Brimbank graduations, Tony Liberatore told westernbulldogs.com.au about his involvement in the men’s health program.

“The program’s in its fourth year so it’s exciting to see so many new faces,” the 283-game men's health ambassador said.

“Being involved in the first year (of Sons of the West), I had an inward look into the program and what was involved in the program on both a physical and mental side” he said.

Sons of the West Leader, Jonathon Manallack shared his gratitude to the club for the impact that Sons of the West has had upon his health.

“Someone asked me the other day, what I would’ve done if I hadn’t done this program – I think I’m more educated now and I know what things I need to do as far as my health and diet,” he said.

“Knowing to exercise more and to reduce the food that I’m eating, I can now do that and continue to lose weight and get to where I want to be”.
