Nick Austin will depart the Western Bulldogs to take up a role with the Carlton Football Club, effective immediately.
Austin has held the role of National Recruiting Manager for the past two years, after rejoining the Bulldogs in March 2018. He previously worked at the Club in an opposition analyst and player welfare role between 2006-08.
Director of Football, Chris Grant, said Austin had made a major impact over the past two years.
“Since joining us as National Recruiting Manager, Nick has made a valuable contribution to our Club,” Grant said.
“Working alongside Sam Power, Nick has implemented significant changes and improvements to our recruiting and talent ID processes, and established much-improved reporting and engagement within our list management committee processes.
“Whilst it’s always disappointing to lose good people from your organisation, we are really excited for Nick and wish him all the best in his new role.”
Austin thanked the Bulldogs for the opportunity over the past two years.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Bulldogs and the being able to contribute to the Club as part of the list management and recruiting team,” Austin said.
“Working alongside Sam, Chris and the wider team has been a great experience, which I know will hold me in good stead for this new challenge.”
