Father-son recruit Rhylee West made his way to the Kennel with pick number 26 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft. A standout inside-midfielder with the Calder Cannons and Vic Metro in his junior years, West is renowned for his ability to win contested possession and apply pressure to the opposition. In his first season on an AFL list, a late-season senior debut came for West in Round 19, 2019 against Fremantle following strong VFL form – which also saw him finish runner-up in the VFL’s JJ Liston Trophy. The 23-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2022 campaign, playing 14 games while showcasing his competitive nature and skill.
