Jack Macrae and Jake Stringer will both make their senior debut for the Western Bulldogs against Adelaide on Sunday, with final sides confirmed this afternoon.

The two top-ten draft picks from 2012 were given the nod after eye-catching performances in the VFL for Williamstown last weekend.

Strategy Coach Brett Montgomery said Macrae gets his opportunity after displaying some impressive form for Williamstown in the first two rounds, while Stringer’s five goal haul earns him his place.

“Through the midfield we will see Jackson Macrae step up for his first opportunity at league level,” Montgomery said.

“He’s been terrific at VFL and hasn’t missed a beat, coming in and playing against man for the first time.

“Jake Stringer [also gets] an opportunity to step up after five goals in an impressive performance at Williamstown last week.”

Jason Tutt will play his first senior game for season 2013, named on the half forward line after playing a role for Williamstown in recent weeks, while Jason Johannisen and Ayce Cordy also return to the side.

The Bulldogs midfield will be further bolstered by the inclusion of captain Matthew Boyd, who has missed the past three weeks with a calf injury.

Tom Campbell and Clay Smith have both been omitted from the side, with the extended interchange reduced to four.
