*Limited car parking available at VUWO. We recommend parking at West Footscray train station or in the surrounding streets.
*Victoria University Whitten Oval is a non smoking venue. No dogs or other pets are allowed inside the venue on match days.

Last year’s VFL Grand Finalists Footscray and the Box Hill Hawks will go head-to-head Saturday week at Victoria University Whitten Oval, with the reigning premiers set to unfurl their premiership flag prior to the first bounce in the season opening clash.

After VFL football made its historic return to VU Whitten Oval last year, next Saturday’s match will be the first of nine home VFL home games to be played at the Kennel.

Recently announced Footscray Bulldogs number one ticket holder Scott West will be on hand for the season opening clash, with an afternoon of fun family activities planned.

With the Western Bulldogs headed to Launceston to take on the Hawks on Sunday, you can still get your Bulldogs footy fix at the Kennel with lots of activities for the whole family.

  • Enjoy footy at Whitten Oval – game starts 12pm noon with the unfurling of the 2014 VFL Premiership Flag just before bounce down
  • Fun for the whole family with a Kids Zone including FREE face painting and our brand new mascots – Woofer and the Pack
  • See the 2014 VFL Premiership Cup
  • Get out on the ground after the game for a kick
  • Grab a coffee or something to eat from Barkers café or a snag from the Bulldogs BBQ
