The Western Bulldogs will open the AFLW season at Victoria University Whitten Oval against the Fremantle Dockers the AFL has revealed today. 

AFLW returns to Footscray on Sunday, February 4 at 4:35pm before Paul Groves’ side hits the road for the following fortnight to face last year’s grand finalists in Brisbane and Adelaide successively.

The season opener will be one of three home games for the Dogs in 2018 with matches against Carlton in Round 4 and a clash with Melbourne in Round 7. 

In a snapshot, the 2018 fixture includes two Saturday night games, three Sunday games, a Saturday afternoon and a Friday night.
