Mikala Cann will make her Western Bulldogs AFLW debut in this Saturday night’s Round 1 clash with Gold Coast Suns.

Cann arrived at the Kennel via a trade with Collingwood, having played 76 games at the Pies since she was drafted in 2018. 

As revealed yesterday, young ruck Amaia Wain will make her league debut.

Fan favourite Mua Laloifi will notch up her 50th game, providing the Bulldogs with even more motivation ahead of the highly anticipated season opener.

Ruck Alice Edmonds has also been cleared to play following a shoulder concern, as has co-captain De Berry who has recovered from a pre-season knee injury.

The Dogs will be keen to start their 2026 campaign on a positive note when they meet the Suns at People First Stadium from 7:15pm AEST on Saturday night.

The match will be broadcast via 7Mate, Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
