Footscray has made five changes ahead of their final game of the 2026 Smithy's VFL season this weekend. 

The Dogs regain Coffield, Smith, Valpied, Young and McGuane for the game against the Blues while Carmichael, Emmett and Kennedy will all miss as they re-join the AFL squad.

VFL-listed Bulldog Kane Sexton is a late out of the side due to injury, with Bailey Young replacing him in the starting 23.

After a lively debut, including three goals, Dogs' NGA prospect El Souki will return to the Talent League this weekend. 

Despite an impressive win over North Melbourne last week, the Dogs were unable to secure a spot in the upcoming Finals Series, narrowly missing the top ten.
